Educator Foundation Program – Perth (31 March – 28 April)
A 5-day course run once per week for 5 weeks to prepare new and potential educators in line with the principles and practises of the WA Recovery College Alliance.
Who can participate?
Everyone over the age of 18 is welcome to attend.
Course Objectives:
Across the world, Recovery Colleges have demonstrated that an educational approach can be successful in supporting people to
overcome barriers, including challenges related to mental health, substance use and other life issues.
The Educator Foundation Program is a 5-day course run once per week for 5 weeks to prepare new and potential educators in line with the principles and practises of the WA Recovery College Alliance (WARCA).
Topics covered include:
> Frameworks of Understanding
> Co-production
> Embodying Values
> Facilitation Skills
> Principles of Adult Education

Wednesdays from 10am - 4:30pm 31 March; 7, 14, 21 & 28 April 2021 (5 weeks)
